The Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship is a three year program that provides undergraduate students revolutionary opportunities from 12 New York City partner colleges

The program features annual funding of $5,500, $6,500, and $7,000 in addition to a $2,000 Discovery Fund that helps develop students personal, professional and cultural potential.

Junior Duplessis, a current Jeannette K. Watson Fellow and junior here at The City College of New York, recently sat down with ProFellow to discuss what inspired him to apply for the Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship, what he believes are the benefits of the fellowship, and also shares some amazing tips for those who want to apply in the future.

Students who are interested in applying should focus on displaying their desire to learn, their open-mindedness, and their ability to get along with others by drawing on their past experiences and futures aspirations.
